Australia’s Hottest Tickets: what tickets are highest on Australians’ wish-lists

With Christmas just around the corner, we thought we’d take a look at what tickets are highest on Australians’ wish-lists for Santa as we head into another exciting year of sport.
Using our Consideration metric, which asks respondents daily what events or competitions they would most like to attend if money and geography were no object, we’ve created a current ranking for the most popular domestic properties.
As you’d expect, this ranking changes depending on the season but as you can see, with the summer of tennis and Australian Open just around the corner, it’s the tennis which is proving to be the biggest drawcard right now for just under 30% of Australians.
Next up is the AFL and State of Origin Series, both highly attended and proven popular events. Rounding out the top 5 we have Australian Cricket which should only increase as we progress throughout the summer against our fellow Kiwis as well as Formula 1 which will continue to build momentum in anticipation for March’s event.
A standout for me however is the growth of AFLW which currently ranks 10th for overall consideration. Impressive results for a property which is only entering its fourth season. In further good news for the sports property, AFLW also ranks 5th for overall positive Buzz – people who have heard something positive about the event in the past two weeks. The AFLW is certainty imprinting itself in the Australian sporting landscape.
So with Boxing Day cricket quickly approaching, another exciting BBL season ready to go, AFLW season kick-off on the horizon and another enjoyable summer of tennis ahead what tickets are highest on your wish list from Santa?
