YouGov Sport grows team again. New US hires extend analytics and data capabilities.

YouGov Sport (formerly SMG Insight, powered by YouGov) has made two new hires to support its fast US growth. Kristen Ilhardt joins the company as Senior Director of Analytics, while Justin Pertierra signs up as Senior Research Analyst.

Kristen brings with her eight years in senior analytics roles. Before joining YouGov Sport, she served as Director of Analytics at Nielsen and before that Repucom, and she’s developed an impressive record of driving efficiencies in client reporting.

Justin Pertierra has also joined the NYC office where he brings several years of experience in strategic research. He began his career at Berland Strategy & Analytics (BSA), where he conducted social media analytics for major sports brands and blue-chip organizations and was most recently at Penn Schoen Berland, where he conducted custom research.

Tracy Schoenadel, Senior Vice President at YouGov Sport, believes the pair will be vital drivers of the company’s continued growth.

“We never stop believing that we can do better for clients – wherever we are with them. The hires are an investment in that philosophy – better, faster, more accurate, more useful. These guys are really going to help us up our game and it’s great to have them on board.”
